Structure: Elvasense
General Lancet consists of needle, main body and protective cap.
Intended use: Elvasense General Lancet (use with lancing device) is a single use,
sterile medical device, which is designed for use of micro blood sampling
puncture to obtain capillary blood samples from the fingertip. Elvasense
General Lancet needs using with lancing device.
Intended users: Healthcare personnel, only when used with single lancing device to
obtain blood sample from single patient (including lay person).
Storage: The
products should be stored in a well-ventilated room and kept away from light,
moisture and corrosive gases.
Performance:
The device is sterilized by irradiation.
Intended patient population: Patient who needs to obtain capillary blood samples from fingertip,
with no restriction to gender, weight or race.
Indication:
The lancet is intended for people who need capillary blood sampling.
Contraindications: None.
Cautions:
- Read the instructions carefully before use.
- Use the lancets within the expiry date.
- Do not use if protective cap is removed or broken previously.
- Do not store lancet in lancing device, discard lancet after
use, do not re-use.
- Lancet is only for single-use, and re-use of the device could
lead to cross-infection and damage of the needle.
- If the used needle is not recapped, it might cause sharp injury
of other person and might cause infection or cross-infection.
- If the needle is broken and embedded into the finger, please
consult a healthcare professional immediately.
- In the event of any serious adverse event, please report to the
manufacturer and the competent authority.
The lancet and lancing device must be compatible with each other.
When you use Elvasense General Lancet with other manufacturers' lancing
devices, please be sure that these products are compatible. We recommend that
you shall consult a health care professional before use.
Instructions:
- Unscrew the lancing device cap from the body of the lancing
device.
- Insert a sterile lancet into the lancing device firmly.
- Twist off the protective cap of the lancet.
- Carefully screw the lancing device cap back to the lancing
device.
- Adjust the puncture depth.
- Put the lancing device against the side of the finger and press
the release button to prick your fingertip. If blood can't be collected,
please adjust the puncture depth according to the instruction of the
lancing device, and repeat this step.
- Apply a drop of blood to test strip.
- Recap lancet and discard it into an appropriate container.
- Place the lancing device cap back to the lancing device.
